An unbelievably busy weekend. Had a birthday thing on friday nght at the Block at Lucky Strike for Chris Baek. I came home pretty late and had to wake up early for vball practice the next day. That practice was followed by me attending a National team practice which was pretty cool. Then I went to Disneyland for Solomon's  birthday. I didn't leave there until 2 am or so and had to wake up early for a vball tournament in Long Beach. We got second.

Sleep time for the whole weekend: 6.5 hours.

So I caught a little bit of SNL this weekend and saw Nelly Furtado perform "Promiscious Girl." Wasn't this the same chick who sang funky folk songs? NOw she's putting out hip-hop songs with Timbaland? Looks like somebody sold out. Same thing happened to Jewel and look where that got her...

EDIT:
So I went to this engagement party for a friend of mine recently. He is Chinese and youngest of 11, so not everyone in his family has a perfect grasp of the english language. At one point they wanted all the bachelors to come up and do a game. Some we wearing sport coats so one of the sisters told the guys to take thei'r jackets off. She stood on the mike yelling "Jacket's off!"
That's right... Jacket off.

For some reason I have dramatically increased my usage of the word "perfect." I think it kinda thorws people off. For example people would say, "Would you like to supersize that?" and I will say, "that'd be perfect."

That's weird right?
I mean who uses the word perfect.

Wouldn't you know, as soon as I jump on the Kobe bandwagon he does  a 180 on me and becomes the unselfish player I've always wanted him to be...and the lose. Thanks Kobe. Now I feel like an asshole.

I HAVE CONVERTED

I have officially converted. Althought I still blame him for the breakup of pissbly the greatest dynasty in the modern era(yeah that's right screw you Patriot and Yankee fans) I am have officially converted to a Kobe fan. I have always been in awe of his ability and intensity, but I couldn't take his personality. He seemed way to fake for me. He tried to please everyone and come out as this great guy WITH some street cred AND be everyone's friend when the camera's were running, but his teammates would talk about how selfish he was and how he was such a bad teammate. I couldn't stand the fakeness. His selfishness culminated in him breakin up the dynasty. He spent a year in basketball hell, lsoing season, fans booing and I think he came to a realization. No longer is he going to be fake. Kobe will be Kobe. He doesn't do those lame interviews where he makes lame jokes like Michael Jordan. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and has shown he is truly the best player in the league. Kobe Bryant is becoming the basketball version of Barry Bonds(minus the steroids) and like Bonds, I love him.
FYI-I don't just like him because they are winning, I love him because he just doesn't give a fuck anymore and will go out there and do anything he can to kill you on the basketball court. He knows when to use his teammates and when he can do it by himself. He doesnt have to be a good teammate(like last year) but he is becomg a leader and his young team is beginning to follow him.
Oh my gawd, I hope he drops 50 in every playoff game. That'd be fucking awesome.

Why is it I can literally go weeks at a time without having something exciting to do on  a weekend and then all of a sudden have 5 things that's I'd like to do all on the same day? It's like the perfect storm of social activities. I have 3 friends coming into town, a softball game, UCLA in the Final 4, a volleyball game, a friend's birthday, a party, and some other random crap.
